Here’s What Directors and Managers Say

The Stir Up Success classes have provided our cafeteria managers with strategies to improve communication and leadership in their kitchens. Julie has become a “safe place” for them to get feedback on tough situations and feel supported without judgment. She creates a connection with each person through fun activities and her engaging personality. Her topics are a welcome relief from the typical compliance focused professional development. She is a hidden treasure.

Sharon Glosson, Executive Director of Child Nutrition

Maria P, Campus Manager

Julie’s Leadership Academy already has had a profound impact on the professionalism and morale of our department. Both managers and the office team have a healthier perspective of their own roles and responsibilities, how to better cope with stress, and how to be more effective leaders to their teams. The biggest development has been an increase of open and honest communication up and down our organization that will positively impact us for years to come. I am looking forward to working with Julie next school year!

Lark Stewart, Director
Food & Nutrition Services, Mesquite ISD

We had our first leadership training with Julie Alexander last year. The response was overwhelming! Our managers frequently comment on how grateful they are for this training, as it has helped them to become even more effective leaders.
